Semi Trailer Repair in Edmonton (Commercial Trailers)
Commercial semi trailer repair in Edmonton for dry vans, reefers, flatdecks and other highway trailers: lights, brakes, suspension and landing gear.
This page is about commercial trailers. For RVs, campers or utility trailers, look for an RV or trailer shop.
Trailers over 11,794 kg registered weight need a CVIP inspection every year, the same as trucks (over 4,500 kg if they run outside Alberta). The inspection must be done at a licensed facility, so ask the shop to confirm it's licensed to inspect trailers, and whether it can fix anything the trailer fails in the same visit.
Trailers get less attention than tractors until something stops them moving: a lighting fault, a seized landing gear leg, or an air suspension that won't hold height. Many trailer problems are electrical, starting at the 7-way plug and the main harness.
Say what kind of trailer it is (dry van, reefer, flatdeck, step deck, tanker) when you call, so the shop can confirm it works on that type. Not every shop does welding and structural repairs, so ask about those too.

Have this ready when you call

- What's wrong: lights, brakes, air suspension, landing gear or damage
- Where the trailer is now, and whether it can be moved safely
- A PO number, if your company uses them
